This portal will be a major hit among the Delhiites assisting in the fitting of solar panels on the top of one’s house. This has been called a “single window solution” which will ease the process and make it quite fast.
This step will play an important role in promotion of renewable energy as well as reducing pollution. This website as stated by Chief Minister Atishi will help the people of Delhi fix solar panels on the roof with ease. This website, Chief Minister Atishi went on to say, is a “one window solution” making the task of installing solar panels simple.
Subsidy and networking
Everybodies information on the installation of solar panels lies on the solar portal. Between other things there is information about who are the people who have fitted solar panels, help from the government was received by them and what were the costs of fitting the panel.
CM Atishi said that from this portal citizens can also make applications for net metering and even apply for the subsidy. She has asked the residents of Delhi to use this portal so that that the city can be made self-sufficient for green energy.
Support of the Chief Minister
Solar energy has also been encouraged by the previous Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal. Fitting solar panels will not only minimize the electricity bill but can also result in saving Rs 700-900 every month.
