Big news for Contract Employees of Chandigarh
Soon in Chandigarh contract employees are going to get a very big surprise before Raksha Bandhan. The state government intending to regularize these employees, a long awaited desire of job security for these employees is to be fulfilled soon.
There is a working committee that has been developed to manage this procedure, and with the current positive nature of the discussions, it is slated for ratification in a meeting held on August 5.

The Haryana government has decided to hold a cabinet meeting on 5th August and in that meeting the issue of contract employees may be finalized. This meeting will identify which of the company’s employees will be affected by this regularization owing to their seniority.
The drafting of this policy has been converged with a senior IAS Officer Committee, first meeting to deliberate on has been convened on July 26th. While they were able to cover the strategies on the framework to some extent, a detailed draft will be developed in future sessions.
Employee and Future Consequences
That is why, recently the issue of protection of privileges for permanent employees, who work in the company for 10 years has emerged. But there could be provisions for those who have the service of 5-7 years especially due to assembly elections around the corner. This will depend with the recommendations in the draft from the competent committee and government sanction/parole.
